Beth and Jared had been dating for some time. Much of that time was spent apart. But their long distance relationship thrived. So much so that Beth knew they were soon to be engaged. Jared had been dropping hints. And Beth was getting excited! Jared asked Beth to pick out a ring and let him know what style she liked. Beth was concerned that she would be able to detect Jared's intentions in proposing and it would spoil the surprise. Little did she know, but Jared had a plan of his own! When they got together they sat on the couch and browsed through an engagement ring catalog and she pointed out rings she liked. All of the sudden, out of nowhere, Jared knelt down on one knee and holding a diamond ring in his hands, he asked her to marry him! Beth was beyond shocked and surprised! I've got to give props to Jared for pulling off a complete surprise engagement AND for picking out the perfect ring for Beth without her input!

Last weekend we walked through St. Anthony Main for some fun winter wonderland inspired engagement photos! Of course, it was freezing! I mean, it is January in Minnesota for pete's sake. So we warmed up in a cute little café and enjoyed some cocoa.
