Bluejay and I are spending a few days just south of the Cities in a little town called Lake City, Mn. Apparently, the sport of waterskiing was invented here in 1922. Last week, we spent all day in some ~~intense~~ really helpful training sessions with the other staff of the Campus Outreach. It was amazing to finally feel like we are part of the staff team and to learn how to form intentional relationships with college students so that we would "build up laborers on the college campus for the lost world." Now we are spending a couple days in Lake City with the other staff to relax and enjoy fellowship with each other. It has been such a blessing to spend time with other women, who have been married about the same time and me and Bluejay, and we get to chat and laugh and play. It's been fun to watch the families interact and get mini baby fix with hugs from the many little girl babies on the staff team. We have just been feeling so rested and refreshed before the craziness of school beginning in the fall. I'm sure I'll post more pictures soon, but in the meantime, here are some photos from the lovely relaxing lake.
