Bri & Alex- {turtledoves}

Bri & Alex have known each other since elementary school. In fact, Alex had a crush on Bri right away in grade school. He got butterflies when he saw her on the playground. Her smile made his eyes lit up. He drew hearts around her picture in the yearbook. When his little buddies found out about Alex's crush they teased him so much that he ended up changing those hearts around Bri's picture to bombs and rockets and fire. Little did they know that 15 years later they would be saying "I do" in an adorable outdoor picnic style wedding. My favorite moment was when Bri and her dad drove up to the ceremony in the vintage aqua Chevrolet truck that they had worked on restoring together. I am such a fan of classic cars!

Bri's dog, Willa, was the ring bearer.

It was an emotional ceremony.

This little cutie got bored and started playing in the dirt during the reception. She was so adorable!

Allison & Dave {turtledoves}

Dave and Allison had a lovely summer wedding surrounded by family and friends. I always feel so honored to be one of the first people to see the Bride in her wedding dress on her wedding day. This day was no exception. Maybe because I have known Allison for a few years, or maybe because it was an emotional "Fist Look" between the Bride and Groom, but even I got a little teary eyed as Dave and Allison saw each other for the first time. It was such a sweet tender moment. Dave and Allison, thanks for being so fun and laid back and for making me feel more like part of the family than just your wedding photographer. It was so fun to be apart of your day! Blessings on your marriage!

They had the sweetest little flower girl ever! She loved being in front of the camera too!

I LOVED the back of ALL the dresses! I love that the personal attendants also had matching blue dresses as well!

The ceremony was in an all black painted chapel. It looked really cool, but was a bit of a photographic challenge, but I still love the way the photos turned out!

Dave washed Allison's feet during the ceremony.

After the ceremony, Dave and Allison and the wedding party took the light rail train to the reception at Corner Coffee.

There was a build your own sundae bar with any topping you could imagine!

It was a big hit with the kids! You can see the anticipation in her eyes!

Summer vs. Autumn

If summer and autumn got in a fist fight, I'm really not sure who would win?!?! They're both so great! First of all, summer is famous for her sunny sweet disposition and endless evenings that smell like BBQ and fresh fruit. Autumn, however, is home to crisp cool days, even crisper apples, and scarves. I love so much about both seasons. The good news is that I live in Minnesota. That means that one day (like Wednesday) it can be so hot and humid that the windows of the house fog up! And two days later (like today) the weather will be cold and rainy and gloomy and full of Autumn-ness. Even though I am looking forward to Starbucks Pumpkin Spice Latte's, trips to the apple orchard, wearing scarves, boots and leather coats, and college football games, I am definitely going to miss my summer skin, rainbow flip flops, coldpress coffee, camping and sundresses. So in recognition of the changing of seasons, here is my ode to summer gone in my favorite way... photos!
