Lake City, Mn

Bluejay and I are spending a few days just south of the Cities in a little town called Lake City, Mn. Apparently, the sport of waterskiing was invented here in 1922. Last week, we spent all day in some intense really helpful training sessions with the other staff of the Campus Outreach. It was amazing to finally feel like we are part of the staff team and to learn how to form intentional relationships with college students so that we would "build up laborers on the college campus for the lost world." Now we are spending a couple days in Lake City with the other staff to relax and enjoy fellowship with each other. It has been such a blessing to spend time with other women, who have been married about the same time and me and Bluejay, and we get to chat and laugh and play. It's been fun to watch the families interact and get mini baby fix with hugs from the many little girl babies on the staff team. We have just been feeling so rested and refreshed before the craziness of school beginning in the fall. I'm sure I'll post more pictures soon, but in the meantime, here are some photos from the lovely relaxing lake.

Bennett & Clare- Ducklings session

These little ducklings are so cute! So cute in fact, that I am proud to feature their session as my 100th blog post! Bennett is a super active 2 and 1/2 year old who didn't ever seem to stop moving. He loves trucks, throwing rocks into the pond, and playing in puddles with his fireman rain boots. He cracked me up with how much he loved getting down and dirty in the mud and puddles- a typical boys boy. His 1 year old sister, Clare, on the other hand, is a sweet as little girls come. She looked like a perfect little doll with her BIG blue eyes and her one little curl on the top of her head. She loves picking flowers, eating cheerios, bubbles, standing up (with help) and pointing. Enjoy these cute little ducklings...

Mom found this toad the night before the session and hid it in a bucket in the garage over night. I think that Bennett LOVED his new little friend. Too bad he hopped away after only 2 photos.

Bennett was looking up in the sky to find lightening after we hear thunder.
