These boys are my favorite little guys in all of California! Their like my Californian Nephews. I was so excited to grab coffee with their Mama, my good friend Stephenny, and chat and catch up. You might remember seeing their family photos here when Steph was pregnant with baby Delano. Well, he's here! And just as adorable as his big brother Solomon. I hope Bluejay and I have boys someday so that our guys can all play together. Solomon is such a stylin' kiddo. I am in love with his cute hat and yellow sunglasses! And it's so cute that he calls Delano's hat an Elephant Hat because of the ear flaps! Too cute!

California Here I Come!
I'm leaving (on a jet plane... don't know when I'll be back again!) for over a week for Ca again! I'm excited for a much needed time of visiting family and equally as important, SUNSHINE and WARMTH!!! I'm putting snowy Mn behind me, and putting on my flip flops and sundresses. While Mn winters can look super lovely, the harsh reality is that they are frigid and last far too long. That being said, here are some fun photos I took during a recent snow storm while driving to a photo session location out in the "boonies".
Yes! Those are two little deer hiding in the thicket. Wow, typing "thicket" made me really think of Bambi. I kinda want to cry...
This is what I'm looking forward to: flip-flops, sitting outside at a cafe, sunglasses, outdoor markets, sundresses, lightly sunburned shoulders, dipping my feet in the pool, laughing with my mom and sister, and big hugs from my dad.
Unfortunately, Bluejay isn't coming with me. He'll be in Florida with the baseball team from the college we are ministering at. We'll be on opposite US coasts. Apart. For two weeks! *tear* He's my buddy and I'll miss him dearly. Love you, Bluejay!
Oh where, oh where has my Bluejay gone?
Yesterday, Bluejay left me. For two whole weeks! We've never been apart for more than a few days. He helps coach the baseball team at the College we do ministry at. For spring break, the team goes down to Florida for spring training. So Bluejay went with them. I found myself the most productive I'd ever been last night! I finished editing three session, I pre-blogged three entries, I cleaned (like deep cleaned) our entire apartment, and I crafted some cute headbands. But when it was time to go to bed, I got sad. There was no one to hold my hand as I fell asleep! So I left some of Bluejay's piles of laundry on his side of the bed. That way it kinda smelled like him and the piles made it seem like a person was laying next to me. Oddly comforting. Poor Bluejay, however, spent the night sleeping watching movies on the iPhone by his suitcase in the Orlando Airport. I wrapped some little gifts and put them in his suitcase so that he has little notes and fun things while we're apart. I plan on being the dorky girl with headphones on talking to her iPhone for the next two weeks. So if you see me, don't say hi. I'm FaceTiming my man!
In other news, I'm looking forward to a weekend away at a cabin with some girlfriends. Two of them have little tiny bambino's, so I'll probably get my hug quota in from them since Bluejay is gone. Then on Monday I am flying to California for a visit to my parents! Yay!

(I think he looks kind of like a gym teacher. The kind of gym teacher I would have had a crush on in Elementary School. I told him it was a compliment. Kinda.)
