San Francisco

"I left my heart in San Francisco
High on a hill, it calls to me.
To be where little cable cars
Climb halfway to the stars!
The morning fog may chill the air
I don't care!
My love waits there in San Francisco
Above the blue and windy sea
When I come home to you, San Francisco,
Your golden sun will shine for me!"

The fog was crazy thick on the San Francisco side of the Golden Gate Bridge...

...but the Sausalito side of the Golden Gate bridge was sunny and warm and gorgeous!

Apparently my sister thinks I'm funny :)

Ghirardelli Square was so pretty lit up at night... plus they gave away free chocolate samples!

N. California

Bluejay and I are in California until June 17th. We drove from Phoenix to Redlands and the next morning we left for Northern California! We drove up to San Jose area to visit my Grandma, Aunt and Uncle and also a good friend. My mom wanted to stop in Santa Barbara on the way to grab coffee on the cute main street. There was this adorable bike!
Main Street was so cute! I loved this old town clock!
People say that me, my mom and my sister look alike... I don't see it? haha. I'm pretty much my mom's clone in looks AND personality!
When we arrived in N. Ca, we had dinner with family and rushed off to my favorite place! The Stanford Theatre. I have always LOVED old movies but this is more than that. It's an experience! This restored 1920's movie house brings back Hollywood's Golden Age of theatre. Everyone in attendance laughs aloud at jokes, applauds, and sings along. It's easily my favorite N. Ca tradition! Bluejay was less than thrilled when I told him we needed to go. He has always humored my love of Classic movies and would even say that 'Singin in the Rain' is high on his list of favorites, but going to an old theatre showing old movies after a 7 hour road trip seemed like torture to him! But like a doting husband, he came anyway. Half way through the first movie, he leaned over and said, "I hate being proved wrong! This is really fun!" And that, my friends, is love! I may have even caught him smiling through the sweet romantic scenes! He's a keeper!
We then went to a small Redwood preserve in Palo Alto for some fun hiking and photographing!

Arizona

Bluejay and I are in Arizona over this memorial day weekend. We are staying with his Aunt and Uncle and have been having a blast! I spent most of my elementary school years in Scottsdale, so I have also been walking down memory lane since we've been here. Yesterday, we saw my old house and school. So fun! I love the TOTALLY different landscape that's here as well. I grew up drawing cacti and mountains and coyote howling at the moon, so they have a special place in my heart. Here's a bit of what we've been seeing and doing.
This is Anna, Bluejay's cousin. She is such a doll! She's also been my little buddy this week!
She's been following me around with her little polly pocket pretend camera taking pictures and showing me how cute they are on the pretend LCD screen. Really cute!
Ethan and Anna (Bluejay's cousins) were playing with the hose. Az is HOT! And it was so cute, I couldn't help but take some photos.
