Bluejay and I are on volunteer staff with a college ministry called Campus Outreach. We love it. We hope to go on staff full time soon. There are many staff couples with babies- all of them little girls. As I have mentioned, Bluejay has a soft spot for kiddos. Especially babies. Especially the little girl staff babies. He likes to coo and wink at them during church so that they smile and giggle. What a softy! He's gonna be the cutest daddy someday. Last Sunday after church, Jen (one of the staff wives) came up to me and asked if I "might could keep Callie" for her on tuesday. I was secretly hoping she really meant that I could KEEP Callie, cus Callie is adorable! But I had a sneaking suspicion that this phrase had a direct correlation to Jen's southern roots. In the south they say things like "y'all", and "might could", and apparently "keep" when referring to watching one's children. To my great disappointment, I did not get to "keep" Callie. But I did get to bring my camera and snap some photos. I even had a little Santa hat to make her festive. Jen and Charlie, your little girl is too cute for words! Thanks for letting me "keep" her today!

Victoria & Isabella, part II
Here is the part two that I promised of these two cuties! Little girls like this make my job easy and oh so fun! When I asked Victoria to give Isabella a hug, I felt her little arms hugging me instead. My heart pretty much turned into a puddle right then and there. Adorable! Enjoy!
These sticks became "magic wands" for these little princesses!
Victoria & Isabella
Ever since meeting Bluejay, I have wanted boys. We even have their names picked out for someday. Cute little boys with dirty cheeks from playing in the mud. Little boys who will collect bugs and then accidentally leave the lid off so all the bugs escape in the house. Little boys who will need their mommy to kiss their owies when they play a little too rough. Basically, I keep picturing little Bluejays flying around. A bunch of them. A baseball teams worth of little Bluejays! But yesterday may have changed my mind. Yesterday, I met Victoria and Isabella and my heart melted. From the first moment I saw Victoria's blonde hair and blue eyes and Isabella's curls and long lashes, I knew we'd have to sneak an imaginary girl in with all those boys I picture in our future. We started off the photo session playing in the back yard. We threw rocks in the pond and giggled. Little girl giggles are so sweet! Then they changed into pretty dresses and grandmas hats and mommy's shoes and played dress up. Because there are SO many cute pictures of these sweeties, I have to make TWO blog posts. Today I will put up pictures of us playing in the backyard, and you will have to stay tuned for the dress up pictures!
Seriously, Isabella! How is it fair that you have eyes with lashes like that? Beautiful! Stay tuned for more pictures in the next few days.
